And a Free Lunch for All

SPEAK OUT!

And a Free Lunch for All

Art DeJong

When my wife returns from grocery shopping with stories of weekly price increases and when I pay fifty dollars to top off our Honda’s gas tank, I think about the three banknotes from a small collection of family China mementos on our mantel.

They are a slightly used 10 Yuan note and two 5000 Yuan notes printed issued by the Central Bank of China in 1945. These small amounts had rapidly become useless as the Chinese government ran the presses hot to pay its creditors with worthless paper. By Christmas, 1948, when our family scrambled aboard a US Navy liberty ship to be evacuated from Shanghai, it took 3,000,000 Yuan to equal one American Dollar.

We escaped to paradise America with its secure border, sound dollar, intact families, and great schools, schools that began each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer and taught kids respect for God, family and neighbor, in that order. “Enjoy your work--there is no free lunch,” teachers warned.

There was no escape for the Chinese people who couldn’t flee to Formosa (Taiwan) or Hong Kong when the Republic of China collapsed in 1949. The victorious communists shot the landowners and capitalists. seized all property, broke up families, and set out to create a brave new, agrarian world, free from capitalist greed and patriarchal gender roles, a world of lone individuals, loyal only to the state leader who promised to provide a free lunch for all—a 1949 style woke fantasy. Millions starved, froze, or worked to death, but still there was never quite enough free lunch to go around.

I reflect on this sad history and wonder why Democrats now are destroying our own economy by flooding it with worthless paper. As I watch parents drive by to pick up their children’s free lunch, even in the summer, at neighboring Grant elementary School, I conclude that this suicidal printing is rooted in the idea of “free lunch.”

Our grown children who now control all three branches of government are printing trillions to provide more free lunch, for everybody--including every person on the planet who can climb aboard our sinking liberty ship. For just a few trillion more they promise to throw in climate control. Think of it—no more hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, or droughts—all this and free lunch too.

It’s time for sensible adults to step in. The American Dream is rapidly becoming just a dream, and I see no liberty ships standing by.

Why We Must Win in April

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

11/16/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Patriots, let's cut to the awful truth! Last Tuesday was not a good day for Wisconsin! Re-electing a liberal pawn who turned his back on freedom during the "pandemic" and is pushing CRT and transgenderism in our schools is unacceptable. Spin it any way you want. The bottom line is that the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW), who cried for unity at the State GOP Convention in May, did not get Rebecca Kleefisch to endorse Tim Michels after the primary. The RPW has failed again to represent the fast-growing grassroots majority of its members.

Thankfully, we put our faith in God, not men and women. God has entrusted us as leaders in our community to take care of it, to ensure justice, and to make sure that His values are honored. If we do that, He will be with us!

So, how do we make that happen in Sheboygan County? We elect Patriots, those who live by the Constitution, to local offices and then hold them accountable. That is the singular mission of our movement. And that is why we must win elections in April!!!!!

Back in April, we created HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections) as a group to develop a strategy to transform our liberal-loaded County Board, Common Council, and local school boards. We have identified key local issues to use as a campaign platform and are recruiting Patriot candidates to run for all open seats this coming April. Here is what is at stake:

  • Sheboygan County Board - No elections in April.
  • Sheboygan Common Council - 10 total positions with only 2 Patriots - 5 positions on the ballot - 4 of 5 are liberals - If we win all 4, we will have a Patriot majority.
  • Sheboygan Area School District Board - 9 total positions with only 2 Patriots - 3 positions on the ballot - all 3 are liberals - If we win all 3, we will have a Patriot majority.
  • School District Boards - Sheboygan Falls, Kohler, Plymouth, Oostburg, Cedar Grove, Random Lake, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake

How can you help?

  1. Come to our next HOWSE meeting on Monday, November 21, at Braveheart Pub. https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/event/howse-how-to-win-spring-elections-round-4/
  2. Run for one of these positions! We will assist you in every step of the campaign and with financing. (See attached for campaign timeline)
  3. Encourage others to run and give us names of those who would be great Patriot candidates!

As I have stated from the time I became RPSC Chair, there are no non-partisan races! Every person who fills an elected position brings a set of values that affects the way each votes. We want Patriots who stand for faith, family, and freedom.Let's take care of our backyard! Please join us in our movement to transform these elected bodies in Sheboygan County!

God bless you all!

“And In This Corner...”

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

Post Election Strategy

Good morning, Freedom Fighters and RPSC Members. With many emotions already being expressed about the election results, some of which have yet to be determined, let me offer a few thoughts.

I was taught early on that if you do your best and manage what is in your control, you can sleep at night, assured that God will take care of the rest. After last night, I can attest to that. Sheboygan County turned out in huge numbers for Tim Michels (57.2%) and Sen. Ron Johnson (60%). In fact, we voted overwhelmingly for every Republican on the ticket state-wide and in our district. We did our best and managed what we controlled - our own backyard. Both Michels and Sen. Johnson stated how impressed they were with the sheer number of enthusiastic supporters they saw at recent rallies here. Every candidate that we supported won! Incredible!

So, the flipside is that what we did in Sheboygan County did not result in Michels defeating Evers! This is not only disheartening, but hard to believe. I have received many messages that express utter frustration with election integrity. Frankly, not much changed since the 2020 steal in terms of election reforms. The fraud is still there in large numbers. We will be working to get our Sheboygan County voter rolls cleaned up asap! This is what we can control. And we will!

One huge area that we can also control is winning local elections in April. We are tirelessly working toward that end with our HOWSE meetings. We are recruiting candidates for all school boards throughout Sheboygan County and key elected officials for each municipality. You can make a difference by either becoming a candidate or recommending one. This is how we win.....locally.....our backyard.....one race at a time!

Let yesterday's results inspire you to do your best and to manage what is in your control. Take an active role. Do what you can to affect change to make Sheboygan County great again! Then, sleep well!

God bless you all!

Final Stretch Edition

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, we are in a battle for the soul of our nation, state, and community. Recent ads depict Sen. Ron Johnson and Tim Michels as "too radical for Wisconsin" because they stand up for the rights of babies to be born, support law enforcement, and encourage parents to take back their schools. Really? "Too radical"?

It is time to finish the job that we started on August 9! It is time to bury these socialist Leftists next Tuesday!

Here is what you can do in the next 6 days

    • Join the Corner Rally at 10:00AM on Saturday at 14th & Erie in Sheboygan. Bring your flags and signs! Make a statement that our values are for God, family, and freedom!
    • Join the Lit Drop at Noon on Saturday at the HQ. This is our last chance to actually make our community aware of the candidates who believe in and will fight for our values! Food will be served as well!
    • Come to our Election Night Victory Party on Tuesday at Racers Hall between Sheboygan Falls and Plymouth. Doors will open at 7:00PM. There will be great music, food, soda/water, a cash bar, and a very special Toys for Tots drive (See flyer below). Bring your families and fellow Freedom Fighters. Because we expect a large crowd, we would like to provide an estimate to Racers Hall for planning. Here is a link with more info and a way to sign up: https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/event/republican-election-watch-party/.
    • Volunteer to help at the Election Night Victory Party. We need people to set up on Tuesday afternoon and then assist during part of the event. If you are able to help, please email [email protected] or [email protected]. Thanks.

Everyone, I cannot stress how crucial it is for each of us to let our family members and friends know about the values that our candidates believe in, values that cherish our God, our families, and our freedom (https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/gop-candidates/).

This is our time to finish the fight!

God bless you all!

And In This Corner.... 9/15/22

“And In This Corner...”

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

9/15/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, it's time to take the gloves off! These November 8 elections are a fist fight! We need to answer the bell and finish the fight!

Both Sen. Johnson and gubernatorial candidate Michels are in razor-thin races and need our ACTIVE help! The state-wide down ticket must prevail. State Assemblyman Katsma and Assembly candidates Binsfeld and Bodden need to win and represent our views in Madison! Locally, we need to get Clerk of Courts candidate Koenig elected! These are must-win races!

Let me be blunt! Election integrity is a major concern. Though some are working feverishly to address the massive fraud of the 2020 "selection", the voting rolls have not been scrubbed, providing many ballots of dead people and those who have moved to be cast illegally. Yes, drop boxes have been declared illegal. But there are so many levels to the fraud that we cannot even imagine. While we work hard to get ballots cast for our candidates, the left works diligently to control who counts those ballots. Pure evil has been allowed to penetrate our democracy. And for the umpteenth time, I will say that our own State Senate and Assembly, both with Republican majorities, did NOTHING to stop the certification of the 2020 Presidential vote. This is why we are in this time of election uncertainty.

STILL, we must fight to win on November 8! If we throw in the towel, there is no chance of winning. But if we can withstand the sucker punches and the illegal maneuvers of the left, winning is possible! God expects no less of us. If we believe that He blessed us with this nation, we have a duty (and honor, I might add) to defend the greatest and last bastion of freedom on this earth. Against all odds, we can win this if we finish the fight!

What can you do? First, offer your talents and time. We are doing lit drops every Saturday until the election. Come to the HQ (1122 Indiana Avenue) at 12:00 Noon and be ready to deliver literature from multiple candidates at the doors of people who are clueless about the election and for whom to vote. If you want to do lit drops on weekdays, that's fantastic. We will use whatever time you can offer. The bottom line is this: WE NEED 100+ TO DO LIT DROPS!!!!!! Please join us at the HQ this Saturday and every possible Saturday between now and November 8!!!!! Also, if you are able to make phone calls, please text Haley at (920)980-2011 to get details.

Second, you can play a major role in winning local elections next Spring. I realize that this seems a long way off. But April is when we elect people to represent their municipalities on school boards and town boards and maybe even dog-catcher. Many of these are currently filled by liberals, even dog-catcher it seems. For the last 4 months, HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections) has been meeting to fulfil the singular mission of the RPSC: To elect Freedom Fighters to all positions locally and in Madison and then hold them accountable. Our next HOWSE meeting is at 6:30PM on Monday, September 19, at Braveheart Pub. This will be to identify candidates and complete info on legislative bodies for all 24 Sheboygan County municipalities. Please join us!

On a different note, great thanks to our first annual Freedom Fest team who pulled off an outstanding event on Saturday, August 29. Over 120 people enjoyed great food, conversation, and a chance to hear and meet Tim Michels. Also, what a showing at the County Fair for our booth, those who worked, and the hordes of people who stopped by to talk politics! Report has it that all "Let's Go Brandon" attire sold out by Friday night. Believe me, we will order more! Great work, everyone!

I close with this: Freedom is a gift from God. Defend it with your life if necessary!

God bless you all!

Second Shot Heard Around the World – Speak Out – 10/21/22

SPEAK OUT!

Second Shot Heard Around the World

Art DeJong

The first “shot heard around the world” was fired April 19, 1775, in Concord, Massachusetts, signaling the birth of a new republic. The second, fired January 20, 2021 in Washington, signaled its death.

Wanting to make a grand gesture on his first day, President Biden decreed that he was canceling the Keystone Pipeline, despite its signed contracts and years of engineering and investment. But it was more than a gesture when the whole legal system, the Congress and Judiciary, designed to safeguard contracts and the will of the people from dictators, simply rolled over and obeyed, like a dying dinosaur. Blood in the water, the feeding frenzy began.

Inspired by green cheers, the new imperial president dictated no new drilling and fracking on his land, starving manufacturing, transportation, electricity production, and oil exports. Egged on, he tore up the contracts to build “the wall,” triggering an international stampede and then did worse, trafficked millions of illegal migrants into the states of his political enemies, quickly overwhelming their social service safety nets.

The world watched with varying degrees of horror or glee as the republic that taught them about limited government, its checks and balances and its rule of law, simply unraveled.

No need to dwell on the sad litany—the explosion of street crime, the lawless lockdowns, the inflated currency, the “cured” ballots, the “bailouts” of friends and the prosecutions of foes, and the bungled retreat from Afghanistan that told everybody that the world policemen was off the beat, that the Pax Americana was dead.

No need to detail the corrupt payoffs to big pharma, the back room deals with big media and big tech, the loan “forgiveness” to boost universities that pump students with CRT hate—or even more appalling, the political prisoners held without trial, the mobs baying for the blood of the preborn, or the “doctors” castrating young boys and performing mastectomies on adolescent girls to usher the “transition” into a brave new, gender free world.

But the story is not over. The second “shot heard around the world,” also fueled a movement to rebuild the republic. MAGA was never about one man but about one nation. It is simply a fellowship of those who believe that “it is not too late to return to a republic where law is written by Congress which itself is limited by Constitutional law, where judges are limited by the written language of the law, where the president is limited to enforcing the law as written, and where the power of federal government is limited to areas clearly defined by the Constitution”

It will require much work and worship, courage and prayer, for only under God can we again be one nation, indivisible.

Better Late than Never – Speak Out – 9/18/22

SPEAK OUT!

Better Late than Never

Art DeJong

Could anyone have dreamed that our representatives in Congress would actually vote to recruit-- not more local police or ICE agents--but an army of 87,000 more IRS agents?

Who could have believed that Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin and Congressmen Mark Pocan, Ron Kind, and Gwen Moore, would vote to hire 1740 (do the math) armed IRS agents to prey on their own Wisconsin constituents?  Do they not know that everybody is guilty until proven innocent in an IRS court?

This vote is worse than the FBI launching a parade of emergency vehicles and a team of armed agents to do a photo op at former President Trump’s house.  The long guns and body armor were not to protect agents from his dog.  They were there to send a message to constitutionally sensitive Supreme Court justices, hard core congressmen, independent corporate CEOs, too curious journalists—and most of all, to “we the people.”

Let no one believe that their party, ethnicity, or gender will protect them.  The clueless academics, mindless tech moguls, vacuous journalists, and venial politicians who cheer the unlimited expansion of government power should know from history, if not common sense, that they too will be victims.  Totalitarian “Republics of virtue” always become reigns of terror.

The progression is all too familiar. The daily shakedowns lead to plundering “the rich,” followed by shortages and desperate wage price controls that trigger mass arrests of uncooperative “insurrectionists.”  Then come the gulags, the firing squads and the guillotines—all predictable, and all inevitable unless the citizens have the courage to act before it’s too late.

This blatant vote to add 87,000 IRS agents tells us that it is very late.

Art DeJong

Sheboygan, Wisconsin

Editor's Note: Sen. Ron Johnson stated in an Aug. 7, 2022 News release: " Last year the IRS audited Americans earning less than $25,000 a year at five times the rate of other groups."  Politifacts rated this statement as "Mostly True".

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, this is your time to activate! With the primaries now in the rear view mirror, the real work now begins to elect Tim Michels as governor and re-elect Sen. Ron Johnson! It does not stop there! Replacing liberals as Lt. Governor, Sec. of State, Atty. General, and Treasurer is crucial. We also have key Assembly races for Amy Binsfeld, Ty Bodden, and Rep. Terry Katsma. Finally, electing Chris Koenig as Clerk of Courts will be a key move on the local level. Stay tuned for ways to activate for these candidates!

Plan to attend the first annual Freedom Fest on Saturday, August 27! There is something for every age, including fun activities for the kids! A full menu of corn, burgers, brats, and favorite dishes will be served. The event is at Plymouth City Park and runs from 4:00-7:00PM. Sign up is not required but will help in determining how much food will be needed. You can sign up at: https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/event/freedom-fest/. We also need 6 more volunteers for husking corn, serving food, and registration. Please contact Haley Stuckmann at [email protected] if you can help.

You are invited to attend HOWSE Round 4 on Monday, August 29, at Braveheart Pub. The doors open at 5:30PM for food/beverages with the meeting set for 6:30PM. This is our How to Win Spring Elections group that has set a strategy, drafted watchdogs for County Board, Common Council, and Sheboygan Area School District, and is now identifying key issues on which candidates will run to win next April. This is a year-long process that has engaged over 30 people every month. Please join them to get active and make a difference in your community.

Please take a moment to send a note of thanks to the following people:

  • Nate TenBroeke ([email protected]) and Haley Stuckmann ([email protected]) for their successful efforts to host the 9th District Senate debate and for starting Voices for Values, a growing group of young people making a difference as Constitutional conservatives.
  • Ruth Villareal ([email protected]) and Jeanette DeSchene ([email protected]) for their willingness to enter the political sphere as candidates. This is what democracy looks like.

Finally,Adam Steen announced this week that he is running a write-in campaign to defeat Assembly Speaker Robin Vos in November. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF_XXE4yc2w. Steen, endorsed by President Trump, lost to Vos in the recent primary by just 260 votes out of 10,000 that were cast. There were many election irregularities, including a "mobile election truck". Rather than file a grievance or take legal action, Steen has decided to give voters another opportunity to fairly elect their State Assemblyman. If you are interested in supporting Steen's campaign, please contact him at [email protected]. As you may recall, RPSC members voted 120-2 at our county caucus to remove Vos from his role as Assembly Leader.

God bless you all,

We will be sending out more details with an opportunity to register and volunteer! Stay tuned!

Fifth, HOWSE Round 3 was attended by a lively crowd at Braveheart Pub on July 18. Attached (Download PDF HERE) are the extensive notes which includes a graph of our "watchdogs" for the County Board, Sheboygan Area School Board, and Sheboygan Common Council, along with where and when they meet. Please consider joining this unofficial group of Freedom Fighters that is solely focused on How to Win Spring Elections! Winning starts right here in Sheboygan County, one seat and one issue at a time.

Sixth, due to popular demand, "2000 Mules" will be shown at the HQ on Tuesday, August 2, and Thursday, August 11. Check the website for details. This movie is changing the minds of millions of Americans each week! I encourage you to take a friend to see 2 hours of the most incredible footage you will ever see. This really happened right in our own state! Thanks, Paul, for leading the charge on this!

Finally, God is moving in a mighty way! Stay in prayer for our communities, state, and nation. Nothing is impossible for Him! But He expects us to be vigilant and active. Life is a full-contact sport. When family and friends sit on the sideline and hope things get better, embrace the fight! This is our time to be used for His purposes!

God bless you all,

“And In This Corner…” 7/7/22

“And In This Corner...”

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

7/7/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, this summer is heating up with activity. Here is the latest.

The Fourth of July Parade was a huge success! Nearly 90 people joined our group along with a vintage fire truck, patriotic Jeep, and several other vehicles. Incumbents and candidates that walked with us were Dr. David King and Kyle Yudes (Lt. Gov.), Ruth Villareal (9th District Senate), Terry Katsma (27th District Assembly), and Amy Binsfeld (26th District Assembly). We were all well received with many affirmative yells, fist pumps, and smiles. Small American flags and flyers promoting "2000 Mules" and the RPSC were handed to willing recipients along the way. It truly was a touch of Americana. Thanks to Terry Katsma, Drew Petry, Jeff Preder, and James Evraets for their vehicles! Thanks also to Ted Keneklis, John Winter, and Katie Checolinski for their wonderful photos. A full set of pics will be posted on our website!

The Brat Days Parade is Saturday, August 6. This is another tremendous opportunity to show our community that we are active and growing. Let's see if we can hit 100! More details will be sent soon!

We are aggressively building a youth movement! Nate TenBroeke recently met with Turning Point, which targets young adults. One of the keys is to start a conservative group on each college campus. You can help, too! If you know a current student at Lakeland University, please let me know. It just takes one student to start the team. We know they are out there. Please let me know asap! Thanks.

HOWSE Round 3 is meeting on Monday, July 18, at Braveheart Pub. Initially named How to Win Spring Elections, HOWSE is developing a comprehensive process that includes identifying local issues that are on the minds of voters and then recruiting candidates who can run on these issues and win next Spring. You are all invited to either participate or observe. There is a lot of passion in these meetings! Arrive early for your favorite sandwich and beverage and enjoy the lively discussion! Check out the details under Upcoming Events.

The RPSC Board meets on Monday, July 11, at 7:00PM at the HQ. Attached is the packed agenda. Please check out the topics and plan to attend. All are invited! I want to personally thank Jeff Preder who made the arrangements for our June Board meeting at Globe Lanes in Random Lake. It was so good to see new faces and be in the southwestern part of the county. We will have more "On The Road" Board meetings this year!

I close with this thought. It's so easy to get caught up in activities and lose sight of our goal - To elect Freedom Fighters and hold them accountable! Parades, movie nights, and volunteering at the HQ may seem trite. But if just a few are inspired to join our fight after seeing us in action, it is meaningful! Don't underestimate the influence that you have! Just look at the recent Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v Wade. That took nearly 50 years! But it happened. You may never see the results of what you do today. But generations to come will be so grateful!

God bless you all!

Russ
