Coming to a City Near You

Art DeJong

East and West met at our house. My wife grew up very near Provincetown, Cape Cod, on the Atlantic coast and I in Seattle on the Pacific coast. Provincetown was then a quaint fishing village, complete with crusty fishermen and an annual blessing of the fleet, Seattle a sensible western city run by Boeing engineers who watched hydroplane races and went hiking and skiing in the Cascades on the weekend.

Provincetown was an inclusive place where fishermen worked, raised their families, and tolerated a diversity drag scene in the summer, long before anyone heard of DEI. Then, however, the affluent summer crowd just bought the place, making it an exclusive inclusive enclave with a nautical décor but not much room for fishing families.

Something similar took place in Seattle on a larger scale. First it got hit with waves of California migrants who joined Seattle’s home-grown Microsoft trust fund babies who bought the city to make their own DEI upgrades. They got rid of the ablest engineers, defunded the racist police, and funded the downtrodden criminals, addicts, and other unemployed fellow travelers—all with predictable results. Don’t bring the family to Seattle’s Pioneer Square after dark, if at all.

We watched the fun from a blessed distance. Although Sheboygan too had been a hardworking, hard drinking port town, it was also a city of churches and remained a pretty good place to raise a family. But the end of that may be near, I fear. Last week I watched the Sheboygan common council railroad its city manager for “No Cause,“ except for what most suspect was his reluctance to get with the DEI program.

Unlike Provincetown and Seattle, however, family friendly Wisconsin may not roll over so easily. Each ”alder” who voted to oust Sheboygan’s sensible city manager now faces a challenger in the upcoming spring election. As my wife says, “We’ll see, won’t we.”

Transforming Sheboygan County

Fellow Patriots and RPSC Members, something amazing is happening!

Amidst the corruption at City Hall, the push by the Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) Board for a transsexual curriculum, and the stench of the upcoming Drag Queen event at The Black Pig (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/drag-dinner-the-great-pigsby-tickets-484010296827), our fight to bring back the values of faith, family, and freedom is taking center stage for all of our community to see!

Today, I am thrilled to announce that every Common Council and every SASD Board race has one of our candidates in it to win! Here they are: (https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/).

This transformation started a year ago. As we all know, elections have consequences. For too long, many of us viewed local elections as non-partisan. True, one does not run as a Republican or Democrat. But there is no doubt that each elected official uses a personal set of values when voting on issues. A case in point would be the current makeup of our Common Council. Just 2 of the 10 members are Conservatives with the other 8 members supporting the views of the ultra-Left Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB) group. (They are anything but diverse or inclusive when it comes to differing opinions.)

To counter this, about 30-40 fellow Patriots created a plan last April to transform Sheboygan County via the ballot box. The HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections) team systematically identified key issues in our community and then recruited strong Conservative candidates who share our values and are willing to fight for them. The result is our incredible slate of candidates!

This transformation of Sheboygan County will only take place if you personally activate and forward this to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and others in your sphere of influence. Many of them have no clue about the corruption, the transsexual curriculum on the horizon, or the Drag Queen event on January 29 at the Black Pig. In fact, most would be shocked to know that this is going on right here! More importantly, your friends need to know that they now have candidates worth electing!

Over the last year, many of you have expressed frustration in not knowing what to do to fight all of this filth. Can you really make a difference? Yes!!!!! When you read this message, immediately think of several who love Sheboygan County and would want to know what is going on. Be the one who shares this with them. No more frustration! Let's get this done!

God bless you all!

The Flag Flies Over Fort Sumter

SPEAK OUT!

The Flag Flies Over Fort Sumter

Art DeJong

Recently my wife and “got away” from election madness to visit one the 13 colonies where American freedom all began, Charleston, South Carolina. It was here too where the cannons that routed the British fleet in the Revolutionary War later leveled federal Fort Sumter, igniting our civil war that ultimately created a “more perfect union,” one that included all races and classes of Americans.

We were reminded of all this when, with a boat load of tourists, we helped to raise the Stars and Stripes over the battered remains of Fort Sumter in the Charleston harbor. Later, walking the decks of the aircraft carrier Yorktown and the destroyer Laffey, moored across the harbor reminded us that every generation eventually has to pay the high price of liberty. Our fathers had to build these ships after much of our ill prepared fleet, including the original Yorktown and Laffey, had been shot to pieces during the early years of World War II.

When we climbed into the Laffey’s aft gun battery, a video appeared, conveying the last desperate minutes of that gun crew’s battle against a swarm of more than twenty suicide bombers that ambushed their lone ship. The video abruptly ended with a kamikaze direct hit, Yet this valiant “ship that would not die,” fought on, even after at least five such direct hits. It then limped home to be refitted for service in our next war, the Korean War.

Shifting from heroism of a past generation to the present, I wondered whether the peeling paint of these legendary ships signifies our present republic, too demoralized to honor its own history, incapable even of securing its own streets and defending its own borders.

Later we followed our noses to a Chick-fil-A for lunch, interestingly located directly across from the parade ground on the campus of The Citadel. Here our mood lifted. Watching the “knobs” drill on the parade ground, we realized that the love of liberty has not died in the hearts of these young men and women, many whose families have lived here for generations, others who have fled here from around the world to escape almost universal tyranny.

This trip to Charleston reminded us that the political battles being waged across this country are not a violent revolution or civil war, but a revival--a revival of the old principles of liberty that brought the 13 colonies together so long ago. Our present political ferment is a sign of hope that what happened in Charleston did not stay in Charleston.

Special RPSC Caucus to Add Board Positions & Hear State of the Party

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

11/20/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Patriots, you are invited to a very special caucus/meeting on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 6:30PM, at the HQ (1122 Indiana Avenue in Sheboygan).

First, there will be a members-only vote on a motion to add 2 new positions to the RPSC Board. Currently, there are 7 positions. The new positions will be for Electronic Communications Chair and Events Chair. (See attached for rationale and motion with a full list of Board positions.) The motion will need a 2/3 majority of all attending RPSC members.

RPSC Board Positions Proposed for 2023

Second, I will give my first State of the Party address. It will include highlights of 2022, provide a detailed update on HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections), and invite non-members to join our movement.

Russ Otten's State of the Party Address

Third, there will be an Open Forum for members to ask questions about our direction and plans for 2023.

Finally, please bring your friends who are fired up about but have not yet joined the RPSC. We want them to know what we are doing to transform our local leadership to better reflect the values of Sheboygan County.

P.S. Free popcorn, snacks, water, and soda will be available!

A Red Wave Breaks – Speak Out

A Red Wave Breaks

SPEAK OUT!

A Red Wave Breaks

Art DeJong

Unlike the hurricanes that headed out to sea after battering both east and west coasts of Florida, the red tsunami that hit there surged all the way into the upper mid-west, flooding 56 of the 72 counties in Wisconsin and 66 of the 83 counties in Michigan. Every township, village, small city, and suburb in Sheboygan County, except Elkhart Lake, joined the surge which stopped abruptly at Sheboygan’s city limits. There, 20 of the 21 wards voted for big government Democrats. This raises a Bidonese, two word question, “Why?” Not why did it stop, but why did it happen? Was it climate change?

Not surprisingly the top three opponents to the wave were Dane, Menominee, and Milwaukee Counties. Liberty and limited government create prosperity for everybody, but limiting the number and sizes of government checks is not a winning message in big government towns. Their replacing election-day with harvest season just insures a house win. Naturally, Governor Evers won re-election in Wisconsin but with the support of only 16 out of 72 independent counties, while Michigan’s Governor Whitmer hung on, despite being supported by only 17 out of their 83 counties.

That a red wave, or even a red ripple, happened at all tells that there is life left in our old republic. It speaks well for the common sense, independence, and wonderful orneriness of the American people. It testifies to the integrity of lots of election officials, local volunteers, and candidates who sacrificed their personal comfort and fortunes to rescue our flailing republic. Few thought that the people of Wisconsin would have the backbone to stand against years of vitriol orchestrated against Senator Ron Johnson by the most powerful government entities and the wealthiest media and tech corporations on the planet.

This wave tells of millions of people who want to live as members of families, churches, and states, not as sub-atomic particles of an identity group or global collective. It speaks of millions more who chose the liberty of limited government over subservience to George Orwell’s outworn l984 Big Brother who still stalks the land even after 38 years. The wave that broke against Sheboygan’s city limits gives us millions more reasons to be thankful to God during this Thanksgiving season and every season.

And a Free Lunch for All

SPEAK OUT!

And a Free Lunch for All

Art DeJong

When my wife returns from grocery shopping with stories of weekly price increases and when I pay fifty dollars to top off our Honda’s gas tank, I think about the three banknotes from a small collection of family China mementos on our mantel.

They are a slightly used 10 Yuan note and two 5000 Yuan notes printed issued by the Central Bank of China in 1945. These small amounts had rapidly become useless as the Chinese government ran the presses hot to pay its creditors with worthless paper. By Christmas, 1948, when our family scrambled aboard a US Navy liberty ship to be evacuated from Shanghai, it took 3,000,000 Yuan to equal one American Dollar.

We escaped to paradise America with its secure border, sound dollar, intact families, and great schools, schools that began each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer and taught kids respect for God, family and neighbor, in that order. “Enjoy your work--there is no free lunch,” teachers warned.

There was no escape for the Chinese people who couldn’t flee to Formosa (Taiwan) or Hong Kong when the Republic of China collapsed in 1949. The victorious communists shot the landowners and capitalists. seized all property, broke up families, and set out to create a brave new, agrarian world, free from capitalist greed and patriarchal gender roles, a world of lone individuals, loyal only to the state leader who promised to provide a free lunch for all—a 1949 style woke fantasy. Millions starved, froze, or worked to death, but still there was never quite enough free lunch to go around.

I reflect on this sad history and wonder why Democrats now are destroying our own economy by flooding it with worthless paper. As I watch parents drive by to pick up their children’s free lunch, even in the summer, at neighboring Grant elementary School, I conclude that this suicidal printing is rooted in the idea of “free lunch.”

Our grown children who now control all three branches of government are printing trillions to provide more free lunch, for everybody--including every person on the planet who can climb aboard our sinking liberty ship. For just a few trillion more they promise to throw in climate control. Think of it—no more hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, or droughts—all this and free lunch too.

It’s time for sensible adults to step in. The American Dream is rapidly becoming just a dream, and I see no liberty ships standing by.

Why We Must Win in April

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

11/16/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Patriots, let's cut to the awful truth! Last Tuesday was not a good day for Wisconsin! Re-electing a liberal pawn who turned his back on freedom during the "pandemic" and is pushing CRT and transgenderism in our schools is unacceptable. Spin it any way you want. The bottom line is that the Republican Party of Wisconsin (RPW), who cried for unity at the State GOP Convention in May, did not get Rebecca Kleefisch to endorse Tim Michels after the primary. The RPW has failed again to represent the fast-growing grassroots majority of its members.

Thankfully, we put our faith in God, not men and women. God has entrusted us as leaders in our community to take care of it, to ensure justice, and to make sure that His values are honored. If we do that, He will be with us!

So, how do we make that happen in Sheboygan County? We elect Patriots, those who live by the Constitution, to local offices and then hold them accountable. That is the singular mission of our movement. And that is why we must win elections in April!!!!!

Back in April, we created HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections) as a group to develop a strategy to transform our liberal-loaded County Board, Common Council, and local school boards. We have identified key local issues to use as a campaign platform and are recruiting Patriot candidates to run for all open seats this coming April. Here is what is at stake:

  • Sheboygan County Board - No elections in April.
  • Sheboygan Common Council - 10 total positions with only 2 Patriots - 5 positions on the ballot - 4 of 5 are liberals - If we win all 4, we will have a Patriot majority.
  • Sheboygan Area School District Board - 9 total positions with only 2 Patriots - 3 positions on the ballot - all 3 are liberals - If we win all 3, we will have a Patriot majority.
  • School District Boards - Sheboygan Falls, Kohler, Plymouth, Oostburg, Cedar Grove, Random Lake, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake

How can you help?

  1. Come to our next HOWSE meeting on Monday, November 21, at Braveheart Pub. https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/event/howse-how-to-win-spring-elections-round-4/
  2. Run for one of these positions! We will assist you in every step of the campaign and with financing. (See attached for campaign timeline)
  3. Encourage others to run and give us names of those who would be great Patriot candidates!

As I have stated from the time I became RPSC Chair, there are no non-partisan races! Every person who fills an elected position brings a set of values that affects the way each votes. We want Patriots who stand for faith, family, and freedom.Let's take care of our backyard! Please join us in our movement to transform these elected bodies in Sheboygan County!

God bless you all!

Post Election Strategy

Good morning, Freedom Fighters and RPSC Members. With many emotions already being expressed about the election results, some of which have yet to be determined, let me offer a few thoughts.

I was taught early on that if you do your best and manage what is in your control, you can sleep at night, assured that God will take care of the rest. After last night, I can attest to that. Sheboygan County turned out in huge numbers for Tim Michels (57.2%) and Sen. Ron Johnson (60%). In fact, we voted overwhelmingly for every Republican on the ticket state-wide and in our district. We did our best and managed what we controlled - our own backyard. Both Michels and Sen. Johnson stated how impressed they were with the sheer number of enthusiastic supporters they saw at recent rallies here. Every candidate that we supported won! Incredible!

So, the flipside is that what we did in Sheboygan County did not result in Michels defeating Evers! This is not only disheartening, but hard to believe. I have received many messages that express utter frustration with election integrity. Frankly, not much changed since the 2020 steal in terms of election reforms. The fraud is still there in large numbers. We will be working to get our Sheboygan County voter rolls cleaned up asap! This is what we can control. And we will!

One huge area that we can also control is winning local elections in April. We are tirelessly working toward that end with our HOWSE meetings. We are recruiting candidates for all school boards throughout Sheboygan County and key elected officials for each municipality. You can make a difference by either becoming a candidate or recommending one. This is how we win.....locally.....our backyard.....one race at a time!

Let yesterday's results inspire you to do your best and to manage what is in your control. Take an active role. Do what you can to affect change to make Sheboygan County great again! Then, sleep well!

God bless you all!

Final Stretch Edition

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, we are in a battle for the soul of our nation, state, and community. Recent ads depict Sen. Ron Johnson and Tim Michels as "too radical for Wisconsin" because they stand up for the rights of babies to be born, support law enforcement, and encourage parents to take back their schools. Really? "Too radical"?

It is time to finish the job that we started on August 9! It is time to bury these socialist Leftists next Tuesday!

Here is what you can do in the next 6 days

    • Join the Corner Rally at 10:00AM on Saturday at 14th & Erie in Sheboygan. Bring your flags and signs! Make a statement that our values are for God, family, and freedom!
    • Join the Lit Drop at Noon on Saturday at the HQ. This is our last chance to actually make our community aware of the candidates who believe in and will fight for our values! Food will be served as well!
    • Come to our Election Night Victory Party on Tuesday at Racers Hall between Sheboygan Falls and Plymouth. Doors will open at 7:00PM. There will be great music, food, soda/water, a cash bar, and a very special Toys for Tots drive (See flyer below). Bring your families and fellow Freedom Fighters. Because we expect a large crowd, we would like to provide an estimate to Racers Hall for planning. Here is a link with more info and a way to sign up: https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/event/republican-election-watch-party/.
    • Volunteer to help at the Election Night Victory Party. We need people to set up on Tuesday afternoon and then assist during part of the event. If you are able to help, please email [email protected] or [email protected]. Thanks.

Everyone, I cannot stress how crucial it is for each of us to let our family members and friends know about the values that our candidates believe in, values that cherish our God, our families, and our freedom (https://www.sheboygancountygop.com/gop-candidates/).

This is our time to finish the fight!

God bless you all!

And In This Corner.... 9/15/22

“And In This Corner...”

Russ Otten, RPSC Chair

9/15/22

Fellow RPSC Members and Freedom Fighters, it's time to take the gloves off! These November 8 elections are a fist fight! We need to answer the bell and finish the fight!

Both Sen. Johnson and gubernatorial candidate Michels are in razor-thin races and need our ACTIVE help! The state-wide down ticket must prevail. State Assemblyman Katsma and Assembly candidates Binsfeld and Bodden need to win and represent our views in Madison! Locally, we need to get Clerk of Courts candidate Koenig elected! These are must-win races!

Let me be blunt! Election integrity is a major concern. Though some are working feverishly to address the massive fraud of the 2020 "selection", the voting rolls have not been scrubbed, providing many ballots of dead people and those who have moved to be cast illegally. Yes, drop boxes have been declared illegal. But there are so many levels to the fraud that we cannot even imagine. While we work hard to get ballots cast for our candidates, the left works diligently to control who counts those ballots. Pure evil has been allowed to penetrate our democracy. And for the umpteenth time, I will say that our own State Senate and Assembly, both with Republican majorities, did NOTHING to stop the certification of the 2020 Presidential vote. This is why we are in this time of election uncertainty.

STILL, we must fight to win on November 8! If we throw in the towel, there is no chance of winning. But if we can withstand the sucker punches and the illegal maneuvers of the left, winning is possible! God expects no less of us. If we believe that He blessed us with this nation, we have a duty (and honor, I might add) to defend the greatest and last bastion of freedom on this earth. Against all odds, we can win this if we finish the fight!

What can you do? First, offer your talents and time. We are doing lit drops every Saturday until the election. Come to the HQ (1122 Indiana Avenue) at 12:00 Noon and be ready to deliver literature from multiple candidates at the doors of people who are clueless about the election and for whom to vote. If you want to do lit drops on weekdays, that's fantastic. We will use whatever time you can offer. The bottom line is this: WE NEED 100+ TO DO LIT DROPS!!!!!! Please join us at the HQ this Saturday and every possible Saturday between now and November 8!!!!! Also, if you are able to make phone calls, please text Haley at (920)980-2011 to get details.

Second, you can play a major role in winning local elections next Spring. I realize that this seems a long way off. But April is when we elect people to represent their municipalities on school boards and town boards and maybe even dog-catcher. Many of these are currently filled by liberals, even dog-catcher it seems. For the last 4 months, HOWSE (How to Win Spring Elections) has been meeting to fulfil the singular mission of the RPSC: To elect Freedom Fighters to all positions locally and in Madison and then hold them accountable. Our next HOWSE meeting is at 6:30PM on Monday, September 19, at Braveheart Pub. This will be to identify candidates and complete info on legislative bodies for all 24 Sheboygan County municipalities. Please join us!

On a different note, great thanks to our first annual Freedom Fest team who pulled off an outstanding event on Saturday, August 29. Over 120 people enjoyed great food, conversation, and a chance to hear and meet Tim Michels. Also, what a showing at the County Fair for our booth, those who worked, and the hordes of people who stopped by to talk politics! Report has it that all "Let's Go Brandon" attire sold out by Friday night. Believe me, we will order more! Great work, everyone!

I close with this: Freedom is a gift from God. Defend it with your life if necessary!

God bless you all!

Russ
